What it took to get here

I believe life is lived in chapters. Some of them break you. Others reconstruct you. The Bag Series was born from that truth.

The seed was planted when I was 28 years old and faced one of the most painful chapters of my life: divorce, becoming a solo parent, the loss of the company I had poured my heart into, and with it, losing my sense of worth.

For years I tied my value to the roles I played: wife, business owner, mother. When those roles disappeared, I felt empty.

But pain became a teacher. It revealed that my worth as a woman is not tied to roles, job titles, or degrees. My worth is inherent. Unshakable.

Through that chapter I also learned the vital importance of women’s economic freedom. Without it I could not have walked away from a relationship that was not good for me.

Out of the breaking down came a rebuilding. And from rebuilding came the stem of The Bag Series. Each bag I design is a symbol of our worth beyond roles, a companion through all our chapters, a reminder to be mindful of what we choose to carry.

And beyond symbolism, each bag supports women in Guatemala with the opportunity to achieve financial freedom. Because no woman should be forced to live a life that makes her feel small.

Inspired by the simplicity and functionality of the Scandinavian lifestyle, each piece is hand crafted with care using innovative natural textiles such as cactus bio-based material. Our designs combine timeless aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship and an eco conscious approach, offering a durable, unique and elegant alternative to conventional leather.

Sustainability and social impact are at the heart of our work. We source responsibly, create mindfully, and ensure that the making of these bags contributes to women’s financial freedom in Guatemala, my home country.
